Jeff Rasley is a lawyer and has taught classes on philanthropy and community development at Butler and Marian Universities and memoir writing for the Indiana Writing Center. He is the author of fourteen books and over 90 articles in academic and mainstream periodicals, including Newsweek, Chicago Magazine, ABA Journal, and Family Law Review. He is an award-winning photographer and his pictures taken in the Himalayas and Caribbean and Pacific islands have been published in several journals. He has appeared as a featured guest on over 150 radio and podcast programs. Rasley is the founder and president of the Basa Village Foundation, which raises money for culturally sensitive development in the Basa area of Nepal. He is the president of the Scientech Foundation of Indiana, which issues grants of $200,000 per year to STEAM programs in Indiana. He is also the US liaison for Nepal-based Adventure GeoTreks, a partner in Midsummer Books, a director of the Indianapolis Peace and Justice Center, and co-founder of the Jeff & Alicia Rasley Internship Program for ACLU of Indiana.
