I am an educator with international experience in the field. Currently, I am an associate professor at SUNY Oneonta. I have been volunteering with my golden doodle Carmel in educational settings for six years and innovating in the area of animal-assisted education. My latest book, "Teachers and therapy dog teams: Innovative collaborations to make a difference for children,” describes the innovation. In addition, I am an author of an award-winning children's book "Carmel goes to school." I am also a member of Association of Animal - Assisted Intervention Professionals (AAAIP).
