Russ Jones is the Founder of ADHD Big Brother, a top 2% globally ranked podcast and award-winning community dedicated to helping adults with ADHD move from "the learning to the doing."
Diagnosed at age 40 with Inattentive ADHD and depression, Russ spent years struggling with the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it. A former actor and comedian turned professional ADHD productivity coach, he rejects the ADHD is a gift/superpower viewpoint in favor of a more realistic, “Hey this sucks, but now what?” approach. Russ lives in Southern California where he is a single dad, a D&D enthusiast, a productive ADHDer and depresso who is still very much in the trenches with his community.
Things I'd love to talk about:
Conquering Turd Mountain (those dog turd tasks that pile up in the backyard of our brain, that we keep avoiding until we are overwhelmed and can't even look at it anymore) - I have 5 questions that need to be answered to get on the other end of that.
I believe that ADHD sucks, and when people try to point out the gifts, it makes me think of giving accolades to an abuser. Could you imagine telling your friend, "My partner always tells me I'm a piece of shit loser every day...."
"SO LEAVE HIM!"
"I don't know...he's just so creative!"
"LEEEEAAAVE HIM!!!"
I can talk all day about that.
Also happy to talk about my depression and how much that sucks as well. Happy to discuss the shit going on inside my head, as your title suggests! :)
I've been on a number of shows, which you can acess on my website if you want to see how I might be as a guest. It WILL be fun, and we WILL laugh!
I don't use social media because, but I will promote the show to my newsletter (2000+) and I can give it a shout out on my own podcast, with the link in the show notes.
Wanna????
